The majority of maps available here, come from the BKPortal legacy. Thanks go to [BKP] - Wespex - Major Pain - longfellow for their past effort to have made this possible. Also thanks to the various map authors for their entertaining custom map creations and the many translators like albertmarcel and so many others.
The main desire of this site has always been the way of presenting these hundreds of maps. The right menu pane offers different list views making it possible to sort the maps by season, mod version and such. The table view offers the ability to sort columns by map size, player side, map year, etc. Looking for a specific author? Try typing the name in the search box.
The table views have been disabled for now. They cause the site's database to grow enormously, at the point where its limit becomes exceeded within a few days. This Drupal site seems to render cache pages and search indexes for all table view possibilities and thus making the database exceed. Looking for a solution, but there might be none..
Downloads are found on each map page itself and simply come as .pak files for SinglePlayer and .zip files for MultiPlayer.
In case you are using Internet Explorer, it might happen that it turns the .pak file into a .zip file. You can still download it, but you will have to rename the extension back to .pak. Lately, also Chrome seems to act weird: when clicking the download, a page full of symbols appears. Hopefully, a temporary problem. Use your right mouse button on the download link, select Save link as.. and you should be able to download the .pak even though it sounds as if you were only going to save the link, it will actually save the file itself. Modzilla Firefox works just fine. Other browsers like Safari, Opera and such have not been tested.
For SinglePlayer, place the .pak file into BlitzkriegRundata.
For MultiPlayer, unzip the .bzm and .lua file into BlitzkriegRundatamapsmultiplayer directory.
For Mods, this would be BlitzkriegRunmodsspecific mod folderdata.
The above paths are different for the Steam version of Blitzkrieg!
In most cases, the map pages show the title as it is found in the header.txt rather than the file name itself. This should make it easier to find the map within the game's custom missions overview panel. Unfortunately, this counts for the English versions only. Other languages might show a different title.

There are many features that I added, for example: - a much more realistic Weapon damage system - many new skins for infantry and tanks (and wrecks) also including many of my own made tank skins - many new units for all factions - modified and enlarged Commander Trees (now 16 Upgrades!) - new abilities - new sounds - recommended new maps included.
This is the latest Blitzkrieg patch at the moment, to be installed over any 4.8.x.x or 4.9.x version. Simply install it over and run launcher.
