Grade 7 Math- Pre-Algebra

Hello Grade 7 Math students! I told everyone in class on day 1 there is an online text. Unfortunately, we do not have an access code for this. For some other helpful resources that align with our hard cover textbook go to:
http://www.pre-alg.com and enter as a student/parent from RI under “mathematics” (subject). Once you have entered, scroll down to Pre-Algebra and click on the most recent date of publication. Here you will find great resources like:

  • Self-check quizzes
  • Extra examples
  • Parent+Student study Guide
  • Chapter tests

These are great; I strongly recommend them! Check out each one and use any you find to be helpful.

Download open res files torrentbitsoftsoftsc. Scroll down to select 'Eight Grade Math Tutorial - GCPSMT8' under the 'My Courses' box; Select 'Content' in the upper left corner. You may then find all of the units that we have covered and will cover for the school year. This is a 1 by 3 cube. This is basically a sliver from a 3 by 3!

This is one of the more challenging puzzles. This is called a flaming chariot cube. Do you think you can figure out how to solve it? 4 of the sides only have 6 pieces while the 2 bases have 9!
Here is a 2 by 2. You think that this puzzle might be easier, but do not be fooled. Less pieces means less moves!
The object of this puzzle is to get the ball out of the cage. The bars do not bend of disassemble and the ball and cage
are both made of wood! Some students have succeeded in getting the ball out but then the new puzzle is getting

This is called a Hanoi tower. The tower begins on one of the end posts. The object of the game is to get all the pieces to
the other side of the puzzle with a few rules. You cannot put a bigger piece on top of a smaller piece and you can only move one piece at a time! There are many different ways to solve for this and the puzzles range from 5-10 pieces!
